FIPE, THE VOICE OF THE PUBLIC EXERCISES
Fipe has a long history. Founded in 1945 to enhance, during the country's difficult reconstruction phase, the work of that vast world represented by small businesses in the catering, tourism and entertainment sectors. Over the years the role of Fipe has grown and with it that of companies and the entire sector.
Today we give voice to over 335 companies nationwide, which play a fundamental role in the economy and in society by creating value, employment and above all by providing services to millions of consumers who work, travel or simply seek socializing and relaxation every day. . Fipe aims to disseminate knowledge of the specificities of "doing business" in the sectors represented in each branch, highlighting not only the economic, entrepreneurial and professional values but also the intangible values at the basis of the very identity of "Italian living".
FIPE's mission is to make relations with its associates, institutions and all stakeholders permanent and consolidate it over the long term, proposing itself as a trait d'union between the various players in the market and society. The President is Lino Enrico Stoppani, who also holds the position of Deputy Vice President of Confcommercio Nazionale.
A rich offer, that of public establishments, which accompanies the transformations of society and the evolution of lifestyles under the banner of new formats and new service models. But the territory, as a condensation of cultural, social and environmental values, remains the point of reference for this network of companies which continues to be a driving force for development for the agri-food and hospitality supply chains. Restaurants, bars, entertainment venues and beach services are at the top of the list of what foreign tourists appreciate most about their stay in Italy and it does not infrequently happen that a tourist destination develops around these activities.
A modern business network, attentive to innovation, in which the role of female and youth entrepreneurship is growing, confirming the sector as one of the most vital in terms of entrepreneurial development capacity.
With 90 billion euros of production and 35 billion of added value, public establishments represent a fundamental component of the country's economy and of the agri-food and tourism supply chain. With approximately 20 billion purchases of food products, catering is an integral part of a supply chain made up of breeders, farmers, fishermen, cheesemakers, transporters, winemakers, winemakers, bottlers, warehouse workers, artisanal and industrial processors. A sector that contributes to the affirmation of Made In Italy, quality and hospitality. A large and unique economic and social reality in the country, but also the expression of that soft power that improves its image and attractiveness.
Every day 20 million people find an answer to their needs in one of the country's Public Exercises, and every year 30% of household food expenditure passes from "outside the home", confirming that the sector is an integral part of our culture and of the our lifestyle.
